Cowboy Silhouette Program Image Gallery

Lever-Action Cowboy Silhouette^*

• When: The Second Sunday of each month.
• Time: Apr.–Oct. Practice starts 8:00 AM / matches 9:00 AM. Nov.–Mar. practice 9:00 AM / matches 10:00 AM.
• Course of Fire: 40 round match, fired offhand, 10 shots each at steel Chickens, Pigs, Turkeys, and Rams at 50, 100, 150, and 200 meters respectively (full-size silhouettes).
• Rifles: Any standard production lever action, pump-action, or single-shot center-fire rifle. Rifles must have iron sights only, including open, tang, or receiver types. Rifles not having a post or bead front sight will participate in the Single-Shot Class.
• Ammo: Rimmed, center-fire cartridges using round or flat-nosed bullets (35 rem. permitted) e.g.; 25-35, 30-30, 32WS, 32-40, .357 mag/38 spec., 38-40, 38-55, .41 mag, .44 mag/spec., 44-40, 45 Long Colt, 45-70.
• Fees: (Cash Only, Please) GGC members $9.00, non-members $11.00, Juniors (17 yrs / under) $5.00.

Pistol Cartridge Cowboy Silhouette^*

• When: The Third Sunday of each month.
• Time: Apr.–Oct. Practice starts 8:00 AM / matches 9:00 AM. Nov.–Mar. practice 9:00 AM / matches 10:00 AM.
• Course of Fire: 40 round match, fired offhand, 10 shots each at steel Chickens, Pigs, Turkeys, and Rams at 40, 50, 75, and 100 meters respectively (half-size silhouettes).
• Revolver Class: Any standard production Single-Action, Bbl. Length of 10 ¾" or less, iron sights only.
• Rifles: Any standard production center-fire rifle using pistol cartridges (22 mag permitted) having iron sights only, including open, tang, or receiver types. Tubular Magazine Class; rifles must be lever action or pump action, and must have a post or bead front sight. All others will participate in single-shot class.
• Ammo: Lead Bullets Only, With A Maximum Velocity of 1,100 FPS or Less. Rimmed center-fire pistol cartridges (22 mag permitted) e.g.; 25-20, 32’s, 32 H&R mag., 32-20, .357 mag, 38’s, 38special, 38-40, 41’s, 41 mag, 44’s, 44-40, 44 mag, 45’s, 45 long colt.
• Fees: (Cash Only, Please) GGC members $9.00, non- members $11.00, Juniors (17 yrs / under) $5.00.

.22 Rimfire Cowboy Silhouette^*

• When: The Fourth Saturday of each month.
• Time: Apr.–Oct. Practice starts 8:00 AM / matches 9:00 AM. Nov.–Mar. practice 9:00 AM / matches 10:00 AM.
• Course of Fire: 40 round match, fired offhand, 10 shots each at steel Chickens, Pigs, Turkeys, and Rams at 40, 50, 75, and 100 meters respectively (half size silhouettes).
• Rifles: Any standard production, non-target type .22 rim-fire rifle having iron sights only, including open, tang, or receiver types. Tubular Magazine Class; rifles must be lever action, pump action, or semi-auto, and must have a post or bead front sight. All other rifles will participate in the Single-Shot Class.
• Ammo: Rimfire .22 S, L, or LR only. No magnum or hyper-velocity types.
• Fees: (Cash Only, Please) GGC members $9.00, non-members $11.00, Juniors (17 yrs / under) $5.00.
